Waasi, an independent Hip-Hop artist based out of Charlottesville, Virginia is on the rise across the east coast with his unique brand of sounds and style. Having opened for artists such as Jacquees, Dizzy Wright, Skizzy Mars & more Waasi brings a mix of melodic-vibes and energetic confidence in to his music. He has become a reckognized name in the local and regional scene as an extremely versatile artist. Releasing two different LPs from 2018- 2019, Waasi has shown his musical knowledge all while branching out and experiementing with different styles of instrumental accompanyment. Some examples of the electic genres he incorporates include: Electro-house, Soul, Jazz, Classical, and Trap to create his unique style. Taking influences from artists like Kanye West, André 3000, Joey Bada$$, and Pharrell. Waasi incorporates his upbringing, family life and passions into his music. “Being a trend setter and not a follower” is an internal mantra he pursues in his work.
